It has to be Biblical.
Yes Mam,Miss mesquiteskeetr. But there is something about this wall that has to do with the end times.I know It is history. I really am looking for real answers here.Bless you.

1. Can't be future because it is history. It is completed.
2. No. I don't, and I doubt it does. I've read 3 different English translations cover to cover (or Contents to Maps), but am not aware of a connection.
You might consider googling "Robert Van Kampen" author of "The Sign" - a book that developed from taking an adult sunday school class, having them write end times verses on 3x5 cards, and arranging them on a large chalkboard, like a puzzle.
You can also use a concordance: the word "wall" occurs 6 times in KJV Revelations, but none of the context is about Nehemiah. It's about the measurements and jewels forming the new Jerusalem, not the old one.
The name Nehemiah does not occur in the Book of Revelation.
3. Yes, long answer. Look up Daniels timeline on the Internet. He told exactly when messiah would come. He did. He was cut off for our sins. There is one week left after this, it is the time of Jacobs trouble. The tribulation, 7 year time period.
4. Just as Nehemiah saw the ruins of Jerusalem and answered the call to rebuild it's walls, so will we see the ruins of Jerusalem prior to the return of Jesus - not necessarily the physical ruins, but the spiritual ruins. This is well evidenced by the many responses to the recent question (which you answered so well) regarding God's involvement in government - that is, the responses indicating God has no place in the government of men. And like Nehemiah, we will be called to rebuild the heritage of our forefathers who believed Christ was the cornerstone of any truly effective, prosperous, and free nation.
You will find many other parallels as well as you read the account and apply it to the modern times (or that which is to come). Indeed, God has laid everything out such that we can see the future by looking at the past.
5. possibly with the mention of New Jerusalem in Revelation.
6. Events surrounding the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem and the subsequent clearing out of wrong practices from among the Jews
Covers a period that begins more than 80 years after the Jews returned from exile in Babylon
Jerusalem’s walls are rebuilt in the face of opposition
In Shushan, Nehemiah learns about the ruined state of Jerusalem’s wall; he prays for Jehovah’s support, then asks the Persian monarch Artaxerxes for permission to go and rebuild the city and its wall; Artaxerxes consents (1:1–2:9)
Arriving in Jerusalem, Nehemiah inspects the ruined walls by night; afterward he reveals to the Jews his purpose to rebuild (2:11-18)
Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem—foreigners all—oppose the rebuilding; first they try ridicule, then they conspire to fight against Jerusalem; Nehemiah arms the workers, and they continue building (2:19–4:23)
Plots against Nehemiah himself fail, and the wall is completed in 52 days (6:1-19)
The wall is inaugurated; at the ceremony two thanksgiving choirs and processions march in opposite directions on top of the wall and meet at the temple; there is great rejoicing (12:27-43)
7. Believers are living stones in the temple of God.
The heathen have always conspired against God,
Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
In the end times the conspiracy will be against the building of spiritual Jerusalem, not against a location on the earth, as prophecied in similitude in Nehemiah 4:8 And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.
The conspiracy of evil men against God is having the light of truth shined upon it in this the last day. The church is awakening to the truth and as it says in Nehemiah 4:15 And it came to pass, when our enemies heard that it was known unto us, and God had brought their counsel to nought, that we returned all of us to the wall, every one unto his work.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
8. Daniel 9:
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
It is interesting to note that Archaeologist have uncovered this wall thus proving once again that when the Bible says something...it means it. Some said this wall never existed, but this is prove it does thus we can use the scripture above to see that the rest of the events we are told about will occur.
if we read a newspaper from that day, we may think we were reading todays newspaper!

Israel is building a security wall
It is designed to keep her Arab enemies from entering Jerusalem to terrorize her citizens. The Jewish nation has finally said, “Enough is enough.”
Israel’s Arab neighbors bitterly oppose the building of the security wall. They are using every means in their power to stop its construction—including appealing to the organs of global governance. They know that once the wall is completed, Israel will begin to enjoy peace and security. The Arab goal is to drive Israel permanently into the sea.
It sounds a lot like what is happening in the Middle East today, doesn’t it? But it’s not. This is a different story. This story happened 2,600 years ago during the days of Nehemiah.
We do know we are in for some very troubled times...troubed such as we have never seen before but there is good news. If we trust the one that controls tommorow, we do not have to be afraid of tommorow. Read the 2nd link below to find the only way to have reassurance that everything will be OK
9. It is a marker
If we use the solid historical evidence dating the reigns of king Herod Agrippa I and Tiberius Caesar with the biblical events as a benchmark (30 A.D.) to calculate the going forth of a decree to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, the only possible date would be nine years before the authorization that Nehemiah received in 445 B.C.. According to calculations and documented historical dates, 454 B.C. is the only date that fits the biblical and historical record.
Daniel 9:26
“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself: and the people of the Prince shall come and destroy the city and the sanctuary: and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and to the end of the war desolations are determined” (KJV).
“After this period of 434 years, the Anointed One will be killed, his kingdom still unrealized . . . and a king will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the temple. They will overwhelm as with a flood, and war and its miseries are decreed from that time to the very end”
THE MESSIAH TO BE KILLED
Daniel 9:26
“And after the sixty two weeks, The Messiah will be cut off, and He'll have nothing/no one [lit. there is not to him]; And the city and the holy place the people of the coming ruler will cause to be ruin, And his end will be in a flood, And until the end of the war, desolations are decreed” (literal translation ).
Verse 26 records two different prophetic events: One is about the Messiah and the other is about an evil ruler at the end of the age.
The First Event
The first part of this verse says that the Messiah would be killed 434 years after the going forth of the commandment. But how can this be? How can he be killed before his coming? The simple answer is that he could not. The 434 years must be after the 49 years, which makes a total of 483 years. Also notice that the Messiah is killed, but his kingdom is not established.
This first event does indeed foretell the exact time of the Messiah's death. Nehemiah gives the first month of the sacred calendar as the starting point of the 70 prophetic weeks. This is important to note because Nisan is the month in which the Passover lamb is to be killed. Jesus was killed on the Passover in 30 A.D., which was exactly 483 sacred years after the going forth of the command to build the walls at Jerusalem (Nisan, 454 B. C.; Ezr.4:7-23).
THE MISSING PROPHETIC WEEK
So far, we have only accounted for 483 years (69 weeks) instead of the 490 years (70 weeks) as stated in verse 24. This leaves 7 years (one prophetic week) unaccounted for at the time of Jesus' death. If we are to reconcile all 70 weeks of this prophecy, we must find the missing prophetic week. A search of the scriptures shows that the 7 remaining years are to be found over twenty-four centuries from 454 B.C., at the end of this present age just before the return of the Messiah.
Data:
454 B.C.: Ezra was authorized to begin rebuilding, but the rebuilding was stopped. In 445 B.C., Nehemiah was authorized to continue rebuilding.
483 years is equivalent to the 69 prophetic weeks of Daniel 9:24-27.
There is no year 0 between B.C. and A.D., so we must add a year.
30 A.D. The month of Nisan. The month of the Passover.
454 B.C.
-483 years
= 29 A.D.
+ 1 year
= 30 A.D.
Notice that 69 prophetic weeks end in the year 30 A.D.. If the full 70 prophetic weeks (i.e.,490 years) were to be calculated from Nehemiah's authorization, the date would be 37 A.D.—a date that is impossible to reconcile with other historical facts that are known about the time surrounding Jesus' death. Therefore, this 1 prophetic week was to be fulfilled some time after the death and resurrection of the Messiah.
THE SECOND EVENT
The second event shows that an evil ruler will arise and destroy Jerusalem and the Temple. We know that the Romans destroyed the city and the temple in 70 A.D.. Moreover, we know that the end of human rule on earth did not cease in 70 A.D.. Therefore, this event has yet to be fulfilled. See also Matt.24:6-15.
Daniel 9:27
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate” (KJV).
THE SACRIFICIAL SYSTEM AND THE TREATY
Many people believe that the Ruler in verses 26 and 27 is the Messiah. However, this would be impossible for the following reasons:
Jesus did not destroy the city or the temple or cause the sacrificial system to cease at his death. In fact, the sacrificial system did not cease until 70 A.D.. Some might say the sacrificial system ended for the followers of Jesus because he was the perfect sacrifice. It is true that Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, but the Bible shows that the elect continued to observe many aspects of the Temple service after Jesus' death.
The treaty spoken of in verse 27 is before the return of Jesus.
After this evil ruler (antichrist ) makes peace between the Jews and their Islamic neighbors, the Jews will build a Temple and institute the sacrificial system of worship. But, verse 27 shows that the sacrifices will be stopped by the antichrist:
“And in the midst of the week [middle of the 7 years i.e., the prophetic week] he [the antichrist] shall cause the sacrifices and oblation to cease.”
This evil ruler will set himself up as God in the temple of God which is stated in Daniel 8:23-25 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-11.
“So great will he fancy himself to be that he will even take on the prince of princes [Christ] in battle [Armageddon] but in so doing he will seal his own doom. For he shall be broken by the hand of God, though no human means could overpower him” (Dan.8:23-25 Jerusalem Bible).
The final prophetic week contains the following events:
There is a seven year period in which an agreement will be in force between the evil ruler (antichrist) and his allies.
After 3 ½ years, this evil ruler (antichrist) will stop the sacrificial system and defile the Temple of God.
The antichrist will destroy Jerusalem and the Temple, which is stated in verse 26: “And the people of the prince (antichrist) that shall come shall destroy the city and sanctuary and to the end of the war desolations are determined.”
During this last 7 years of the 70 week prophecy, there will be a 3½ year period of great trouble that ends just before the return of the Messiah to establish his Father's kingdom and rule the inhabitants of the earth forever.
The fulfillment of prophecy is a major proof that the Sovereign God exists and that he has the power and authority to control the destiny of humanity. Moreover, the fulfillment of prophecy tells us that God's plan for humanity is right on schedule and we are very close to the fulfillment of the second half of the 70-week prophecy.
10. There are some problems I would like to discuss regarding dmd's answer. If you count 483 years from 445 BC you come to AD 39, long after Jesus' death. dmd says to get back to AD 30 you errase those 9 years by counting 9 years earlier from 454 BC to rebuild the city.
dmd said Ezr.4:7-23 was this 454 BC date. However, this is not a decree to rebuild anything. Some Jews had started some rebuilding on their own and an order is given to stop work.
The prophecy in Dan. 9:25 says to count 483 years from the command to restore Jerusalem. There is no such command in Ezra 4:7-23. On the contrary, the king finds out they've started work on their own and he gives a command to stop work.
Moreover, Ezra 4:7-23 doesn't list the year of his reign; so, it's impossible to date, and the 454 BC date is pulled out of thin air.
So, three things:
1. You must count 483 years from a decree to rebuild (Dan. 9:25).
2. Ezra 4:7-23 is not a decree to rebuild, and you can't count the 483 years from then.
3. It's impossible to pull a 454 BC date from Ezra 4:7-23 since no year of his reign is mentioned.
Daniel 9:25, "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times."
Consider this view:
The Hebrew literally says "sevens," translated as weeks. If you count these sevens as years, 69 X 7 = 483 years. The command to restore Jerusalem was given in the seventh year of Artaxerxes reign (Ezra 7:8-13). Historians date that as 457 BC. If you count 457 years from that date it comes to AD 27.
According to Luke 3 Jesus began his ministry as the Messiah in the 15th year of Tiberias (Luke 3:1). Tiberias was ruling over the Syrian province at that time, and according to the Syrian calendar his 15th year was AD 27.
Luke 3:21-23, ". . . Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age. . . ."
Using Herod's reign at the time of birth it's calculated that Jesus was born 4 BC; so he was 30-years-old in AD 27 (there is no year 0).
Messiah literally means, "anointed one." Jesus became the anointed one of Israel at his baptism.
Acts 10:37-38, "That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."
So, Jesus was anointed at his baptism and began his ministry as the anointed one (Messiah) then.
Points to consider:
1. We are to count 483 years from the command to rebuild until Messiah comes (Dan. 9:25).
2. In Ezra 7:8-13 a command in the seventh year of King Artaxerxes is given to rebuild.
3. According to historians his 7th year was 457 BC., and counting 483 years from that date comes to AD 27.
4. Using King Herod's reign Jesus was born in 4 BC and was 30-years-old in AD 27.
5. According to Luke 3:1, 23, Jesus was 30-years-old in the 15th year of Tiberias' reign, and using the Syrian calendar where he ruled that was AD 27.
6. Jesus roughly had a three year ministry and Dan. 9:26 records his death. That means the first half of the 70th week was completed in the first century.
Daniel 9:26 states, "And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself. . . ." That is after the first 7 weeks; so, after those 483 years Messiah is "cut off." Isaiah 53:8, ". . . for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken."
The above prophecy said Messiah would be killed "after," not at the end of 483 years. But how long after?
Dan. 9:26 says Messiah will be cut off (die), then the rest of that verse speaks of a future antichrist.
Then the next verse, the beginning of Dan. 9:27, reverts back to Jesus Christ. "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. . . ."
The covenant Jesus confirmed was as the Messiah king, 2 Chronicles 13:5, "Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?"
It was also Jesus who put an end to the sacrifices in the middle of the week. His death on the cross canceled all the Mosaic ordinances, including animal sacrifices (see Col. 2:14). Jesus became the final sacrifice.
This was the historic view of the church, held by Luther, Calvin, et al. The view that the antichrist makes a covenant for one week is a modern invention.
So, Dan. 9:26 and 9:27 mimic each other, with the first half of each verse speaking about Jesus, and the last half of each verse speaking about the antichrist. It's evident these two verses shouldn't be read continuously because v.27 reverts back to the beginning of the 70th week. That means only half of the 70th week remains, not seven years.
Outside of how some interpret Dan. 9, the Bible is totally silent regarding a peace treaty or seven years of tribulation. It's not mentioned in any other place.
Moreover, according to Rev. 13:5 the beast only has power for 3 1/2 years. So, he couldn't possibly make a peace treaty at the beginning of seven years, break it in the middle of those years, then continue another 3 1/2 years if he only has power for 3 1/2 years. So, only half of the 70th week remains.
