Do you believe that end-time prophecy in the bible is a warning to us ? If so in what way ?
Do you think this is also a warning to Christians ? If so how should we respond ?

1. It is a warning against the powers of superstition and blind faith.
The future of our species is in our hands. Let's not blow it by deferring to myths about the end of the world.
2. It is a promise that these things will come and then we will pass into the next phase of eternity. For the lost, it is a waring. For the saved it is a promise of better things to come.
3. Matthew Ch.24 will reveal all. The only way anyone could possible have foretold it could only have been the Lord Himself
4. I think people dwell to much on "the end-time". If you have lead the proper life, then you have nothing to worry about.
5. NO, remember that the book of revalatuions was written by a man that was a political prisoner. The whole book is based off of letters to 7 different churches, it is not a written story that is of one part.
Plus the end of days thing is based off of some bible scholars that took bits and pieces and glued it all together in a horror story.
6. Matthew 24:5-8 gives us some important clues so we can discern the approach of the end times, “For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” An increase in false messiahs, an increase in warfare, and increases in famines, plagues, and natural disasters – these items are “signs” of the end times. Even in this passage, though, we are given a warning. We are not to be deceived (Matthew 24:4), because these events are only the beginning of birth pains (Matthew 24:8), the end is still to come (Matthew 24:6).
Many interpreters point to every earthquake, every political upheaval, and every attack on Israel as a sure sign that the end times are rapidly approaching. While these events are signs that the end times are approaching, they are not necessarily indicators that the end times have arrived. The Apostle Paul warned that the last days would bring a marked increase in false teaching. “In the latter times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1). The last days are described as “perilous times” because of the increasingly evil character of man and people who actively “resist the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1-9; see also 2 Thessalonians 2:3).
Other possible signs would include a rebuilding of a Jewish temple in Jerusalem, increased hostility towards Israel, and advances toward a one-world government. The most prominent sign of the end times, however, is the nation of Israel. In 1948, Israel was recognized as a sovereign state for the first time since 70 A.D. God promised Abraham that his posterity would have Canaan as “an everlasting possession” (Genesis 17:8), and Ezekiel prophesied a physical and spiritual resuscitation of Israel (Ezekiel 37). Having Israel as a nation in its own land is important in light of end-time prophecy, because of Israel’s prominence in eschatology (Daniel 10:14; 11:41; Revelation 11:8).
With these signs in mind, we can be wise and discerning in regards to the expectation of the end times. We should not, however, interpret any of these singular events as a clear indication of the soon arrival of the end times. God has given us enough information that we can be prepared, but not enough information that we can become arrogant.
7. Yes, it is a warning, to which the non-believers will still not accept. So it must be for Christians, to get out there and keep witnessing in hopes some will open their hearts to Him before the end does come. Just before your question, was reading Matt 24;24. As many say, these things have always happened and with each generation it gets worse. When you listen to the news every day you can't help but think, "It can't get much worse than it is!" Possibly it is by Christians' prayers for the world that keeps life going on!
8. A warning to those who have not accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and a reassurance of His love and faithfulness for those who have.
9. Yes. To everyone. We can all learn from the Bible.
I think it was meant for us to read, so that we can live the best life possible. Being kind to others, listening to those around us, living the way the Bible teaches us while worshipping Our God, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
I've noticed some comments directed towards "non-believers" - I was already corrected on that - they believe something even if different from a Christian type religion. "Non-believers" would not be a good term to use.
May God Bless all who respond in this forum and keep you in His Mercy. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

10. Bro...I think it a good clue that there is a lot of specific detailed prophecy regarding a very specific 7 year period.
I also believe He did this for a reason.
Because there's going to come a point when some of the most beyond belief events are going to start occuring, and many a non-believer is going to see how clearly these were written in the past as a road map of what to expect during the last few years left.
If it's not the the rapture that starts God's "two minute warning", I'd be watching for the re-emergence of the Temple.
11. christianity and the Jews have the bible and the Tanakh.
other faiths also warn of heaven and hell. the Bible has
prophecy throughout its pages and is pretty complete
in what we can expect for end-times.
great questions! i hope you'll read the bible for yourself
and let ADONAI show you the wonders to come.
12. yes....absolutely it is a warning...because in such an hour as we think NOT...the Son of man cometh! It is like the days of Noah where he warned for 120 years that the flood was coming. How much louder can God say "get ready"....well, I guess in calamities and earthquakes and all might be a little louder. They are increasing in frequency and intensity...like labor pains God says. But what do we do? Eat, drink, marry (and divorce).....pretty much we just sit here...like everything is going to last forever. God says....when you see these things happening....He is even at the door. Wake UP people!
13. Well i wouldn't worry about something you have no control over, so just live your life read physics books and other science stuff, like the orgin of the species ,and the bible as well, why not , it is quite well written, with some good yarns ,and the teachings of jesus , well they are very good. So the Armageddon stories , meteors, asteroids , comets , black holes , big bangs , what can you do? not much , so why waste so much of your time , trying to unravel religious riddles, the new age dawns.
14. The warning is to all but for Christians to stay focused on working for Christ and witnessing to those who are also called into the Kingdom of God. Here is a site Trumpetmin.org about the mark of the Antichrist. Would you say that this is also a sign of Prophesy coming to pass according to Revelation chapter 13? Let me know your thoughts....
