Is Jesus' end time prophecy about famines just to be fullfilled in the third world?
Some say that Jesus' prophecy about famines has already been fullfilled. Look at Africa and Asia, they say. But could it come to us as well?

1. There is always a famine somewhere.
2. Famines aren't an end time prophecy and the one referred to has been fulfilled.
Matt 24
Jesus is answering 2 questions the apostles ask, here. They asked about the destruction of the temple and Jesus return. He talks about one, then the other. One was to happen shortly-the destruction of the temple and the other hasn't happened yet as we speak. He starts with telling about signs the temple would be destroyed and refers to famines, earthquakes and pestilence. Also, in 16 and 20 it talks about fleeing. Now, we can use common sense. Jesus instruction to flee would make sense in terms of a war, say the invasion of Romans and destruction of the temple, but would make no sense at the end of time when all will be judged, the earth will be burned up and there is no escaping.
Also, other places, it says there will be no signs to Jesus coming, so these signs are NOT referring to Jesus coming. It is referred to as a thief in the night and no one will know the day or hour. 1 Thes 5:2, Matt 24:36, 2 Peter 3:10
3. Review your bible.
Especially Mark chapter 13.
Famines don't don't give any pointer at all.
Wars, rumours of wars, earthquakes and famines...
As there always have been.
Not the end. Possible not even the beginning of the end.
