Earth quakes are part of end time prophecy right?

1. An INCREASE of earthquakes. Jesus said, like labor pains.

2. according to the born again Christians, but Earth quakes happen all the time so I think that the prophecy is bogus and way off.
And if Jesus said it, why did he say NO ONE would know the end only GOD? You can recite anything and say it is a prophecy, but I bet you that if you did truly studied the bible you would find it was written, not by Jesus or GOD, but those who wanted the world to end quickly so that they could be with both before the contract between MAN and GOD was completed. (They did not want to work to get there).

3. Hmm. There have been earthquakes for all of Earth's history, but yes people like to pretend that the world will come to an end in their lifetime, so the answer is yes.

4. Not in and of lthemselves. There have been earthquakes for centuries. There are more dependable signs of impending end times than earthquakes or weather.

5. Some that would say so tend to interpret their holy books literally. But, the probably with the way the question is posed is that those very same holy books claim that such 'acts of God' always existed as a result, all time was the end of time. However, most religious that believe such say that there will be a preponderance of such disasters rather than that they are just happening as usual. How such things are measured is beyond the scope of my capability to answer.

10. Yes, There will be increase of them. In other words more than usual, earthquakes have always been around. But the bible says they will be more frequent and more destructive. Plus there will be an increase of more natural disasters.

12. Yup. There will be a MAJOR one in the Middle East during the Tribulation Period. It's gonna be a doozie!

13. Yes, but keep in mind earthquakes have occurred since the beginning of the earth. But 100,000+ people dead...scary.

14. It is a part of the signs given at Matthew 24, and Luke 21.

“There will be great earthquakes” (Luke 21:11)

It is true that there were major quakes in centuries past; furthermore, with their sensitive equipment scientists now detect more than a million quakes a year. But no special instruments are needed for people to know when there is a great earthquake.

Has there actually been a significant number of major earthquakes since 1914? With data obtained from the National Geophysical Data Center in Boulder, Colorado, supplemented by a number of standard reference works, a tabulation was made in 1984 that included only earthquakes that measured 7.5 or more on the Richter scale, or that resulted in destruction of five million dollars (U.S.) or more in property, or that caused 100 or more deaths. It was calculated that there had been 856 of such earthquakes during the 2,000 years before 1914. The same tabulation showed that in just 69 years following 1914 there were 605 of such quakes. That means that, in comparison with the previous 2,000 years, the average per year has been 20 times as great since 1914.

15. Earthquakes have been happening since the Earths existence, we know this by how sedementary layers have been fractured and shifted out of place.

18. The Bible said there would be earthquakes in diverse (unusual) places.

Does Haiti have a history of earthquakes? I don't think so.

There was also mention of famine over the earth - not just in some areas - but overall over the earth - more wars, an increase in natural disasters, etc. Some of those prophecies have not come true yet, but has anyone noticed an increase in unusually bad weather? Hurricanes, much of the globe hit hard by winter storms this year, etc. HMMMMMM
