End Time Prophecy - Why the interest?
Why are so many Christians interested in End Time prophecy? If you are a Christian, you will not be here for the Plagues in Revelations, you will be Raptures (read Thess)
There is a word in the Hebrew text called (I think) Raptiso so what is your take on that? Are you just listing to what people say, or actually checking out the Bible and hebrew for yourself?

"The Trumpet" is a Christian Science site, and that is clearly a cult, which has nothing Christian about it.

1. there are pre-trib mid-trib and post-trib believers its continually being debated
2. There is no rapture, it is a false manmade doctrine and is not Biblically sound.
We are to watch and pray always that we be accounted worthy to escape what is coming, the Chuch will be protected on earth not taken to heaven in some secret second coming of Yeshua (that would make His actual return a 3rd coming).
Here is a site that takes the watching part very seriously: http://thetrumpet.com/
3. If someone promised you 5 million dollars, but didn't tell you what day you would receive it, but told you to look for certain signs that would let you know around the time when you would receive it, wouldn't you be looking for the signs with great anticipation? Yes, we will be raptured and escape the great tribulation, but the signs that are coming to pass before our very eyes all point to signs of the tribulation, so if the tribulation is near, the Rapture of the church is even nearer.
4. I don't believe in the "Rapture" theory. I am interested in the end times because they will be the end of the suffering of all God's people worldwide. It will bring an end to the awful conditions the world is under right now. It is the only solution to mankind's problems. Man is not capable of correcting all the problems in the world. The problems just keep getting bigger and more disastrous. The bible says that Satan is the ruler of the world right now. He uses our governments and false religions to control the people and make it unbearable to live here. The earth was created for mankind to live in and God did not give up on that plan. We will not be going to heaven ever. He intends for all of his followers to live on the restored earth. Psalm 37:29, Matthew 5:5, Rev 21:1-5, Matthew 6:10, Ecc 1:4, Psalm 105:5
5. Ringside attraction syndrome ~ nobuddy understands the realities of what will take place..they would just like to see it. Love in Christ, ~J~
6. I think you will find that people throughout all time have been interested in the end times since the time we were told to keep watch for Jesus' return to earth. Why it has picked up recently is because the signs of the times and the "seasons" are ripe based on what the bible explains as being the "signs of the times". Most people who have knowledge of the end times will tell you that since the reformation of a Jewish state in 1948 the prophecies of the bible regarding end time events have been coming to fruition at an increasing rate.
Regarding the rapture, considering God's mo in past catastrophic events it is a possible scenario. Look at the flood, God gave Noah the ability to "escape" the impending flood. Soddom and Gamorah (sp?) God provided Lot and his family a means to escape the judgment that was upon those cities. All throughout the bible God has given His faithful people a means to escape His judgment, so it would lead one to believe that as in the past if God has provided a means of escaping the impending judgment a rapture type event would/could be possible. Would make sense if they were transfigured straight to heaven since that would be the only possible way to escape a judgment of this magnitude, one which has been described as being so terrible there has been none like it nor will there be any like it ever again, the logical and reasonable rational would be that one wouldn't be here. This is a simplistic view and rational of the rapture, there is a lot more detail if one was to look into it.
I am not sure though on you views of "The Trumpet". I have never heard of the site so I checked it out since it was mentioned here and I am not sure where you are getting your opinions from. No where on the site do I see that they claim to be Christian Scientists, not that it would matter if they did since a person can be both a scientist and a Christian. Based on their "About Us" section I would guess they are more "Christian Journalists" who report on all aspects of current events and how they relate to end times. I am also not seeing how you came to the conclusion that they are "clearly a cult" either. I look through their site (briefly mind you) and do not see anything that stands out as being unbiblical...do you have any specific examples or reasonings why you believe them to be a cult? Examples of why you believe there is nothing Christian on their site? I just don't see based on my brief encounter of their site how you can come to such a conclusion.
7. Because what is happening right now matches what is predicted in the Bible: the war in the Middle East, the persecution of Israel, the increasing of knowledge ...
And we want to look to the skies, for "His coming draweth nigh."
Praise God.
8. Some people like to know the End, from the beginning.
