Is the Bible End Time prophecy close to being fulfilled?

Im not here to debate the realness of God. Im far past that question. Everyday Israel seems to do another thing after another and the world events cant just be self fullfilling prophecies. So........any thoughts welcome close to the subject especially Anti Christ, and who you think he is.

Public Comments

1. I cant wait for all you christians to find out that man changed the bible to read christ instead of Cats. We will see who is meowing on judgment day!

2. The short answer: No

The Long Answer: Nope

3. It seems to me, out of all respect, that these prophecies are open to many interpretations. Granted, a chain of events concerning the people of the bible (the Jews) is in effect now which matches a somewhat broad interpretation of these prophecies. I actually would love to be convinced that either the Old or New Testaments do contain prophecies that are coming true, but the people saying that they are are not objective IMHP since they claim to know the outcome beforehand.

THE Bible foretold that mankind would experience “critical times hard to deal with.” It describes this period as “the last days.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5; 2 Peter 3:3-7) Jesus Christ spoke of this same era when answering a question posed by his disciples regarding “the conclusion of the system of things.” (Matthew 24:3) Are we now living during the last days? Compare what the Bible foretold with the recent reports quoted below, and then judge for yourself.

What the Bible foretold: global conflict—Luke 21:10; Revelation 6:4.

What recent reports say: “War-related deaths in the 20th century were more than three times greater than in all previous centuries combined, back to the birth of Christ.”—Worldwatch Institute.

What the Bible foretold: food shortages and disease—Luke 21:11; Revelation 6:5-8.

The Bible foretold the world conditions we see today

What recent reports say: In 2004 an estimated 863 million people on earth were undernourished, 7 million more than in 2003.—United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.

Some one billion people live in slums; 2.6 billion people lack basic sanitation; 1.1 billion people are without safe drinking water.—Worldwatch Institute.

Malaria affects 500 million people; 40 million people live with HIV-AIDS; tuberculosis killed 1.6 million people in 2005.—World Health Organization.

What the Bible foretold: the ruining of the earth—Revelation 11:18.

What recent reports say: “Human activities have taken the planet to the edge of a massive wave of species extinctions.” “Nearly two thirds of the services provided by nature to humankind are found to be in decline worldwide.”—Millennium Ecosystem Assessment.

“Human-made greenhouse gases have brought the Earth’s climate close to critical tipping points, with potentially dangerous consequences for the planet.”—NASA, Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

What the Bible foretold: the good news of God’s Kingdom preached earth wide—Matthew 24:14; Revelation 14:6, 7.

What recent reports say: During 2007, a peak of 6,957,854 Witnesses of Jehovah spent more than 1.4 billion hours preaching the good news about God’s Kingdom in 236 lands.—2008 Yearbook of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

As noted above, the Bible foretold that amid all the bad news, there would be reason for optimism. Jesus spoke of the “good news” of God’s Kingdom. What is God’s Kingdom? How is it linked to mankind’s hope for a better future? And how will God’s Kingdom affect you?

7. through my many studies:

1)the red Dragon of Rev. 12 gives the beast her authority, power and location (church recv'd in 476 AD)
2)the beast rules for 42 months (1260 Literal Years) 1 day = 1 yr. in prophecy
3) she has power all over the world (sure does)
4) the beast receives a deadly wound(French Revolution 1798, they kidnapped the pope and claimed atheism, which stripped them of their religious and political power)
5) the deadly wound is healed (Italy gives back to the church the Vatican as a separate nation
6) the beast speaks Great Blaspheme against God( very apparent when they took authority away from God on so many levels)
7)the beast is a pursecuting power (Inquisition, reformation etc)
8) the number of the beast is 666 (in all ancient languages their alphabets have numerical value i.e. Greek, Hebrew etc, if you add up the letter of the "title" on the papal tiara worn by these popes, it equals 666....

Sunday is our "mark" of authority...the church is above the Bible, and the transferrence of the Sabbath day observance is proof of that fact. Catholic Record, Ontario, London, Sept. 1, 1923

8. The end time prophecy of the Bible is very close. It is quite possibly decades away if not sooner. Since Israel lost God's favor as it put Jesus to death it no longer needs our special attention. True Christians are God's favored people since Israel lost God's favor. True Christians are the real "Israel of God". Matthew 23:37,38; Galatians 6:16; Romans 2:28,29 The antichrist are those who are against the truth about or come instead of Christ, that is, who claim to be a savior. This includes not only individuals but also nations and organizations. They are ones who oppose Christ and what he stands for. Those who do not tell the truth about Christ and mislead others as to his true identity are included as an antichrist. 1John 2:18,22; 4:3; 2John 7
