What is the Message?

If we are all going to heaven what is the point of Isaiah's prophecy of beating swords to plowshares?

Isaiah 2:4 New International Version
He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

Seeing our future is heaven or hell what is the point of this prophecy ?

1. This prophecy is one of many that happen before the eternal end of all men. When I say eternal end, I mean every person is eternal. You will either eternally exist or you will have eternal life. There is a HUGE difference.

2. This prophesy is now being fulfilled. the Christ has recently said via His disciple that All Wars Must end Now, otherwise we shall destroy all life on earth.

3. Now - are you still with that watchtower faithful and discreet slaves? - no shame in it - but do you know their names at least? - no you won't - so who do you actually follow? - now you need your first lesson in religion about your "heavenly society" :

4. But not everyone is going to Heaven - only those who have asked Jesus into their heart, that is born again christians who over time become more Christ Like. At the 2nd coming Jesus will take Christians to be with him, everyone else will be judged - think its 1000 yrs later. Those who have rejected Gods free gift will be bound 4 hell. I accepted JC 9 mths ago so i know im gonna live for eternity in heaven

5. There will be no more war the wicked shall plow the ground before the devil is release from prison when the thousand years have started.

6. The Isaiah scripture verse will occur at the end of the 7 year tribulation at the Second coming of Christ for Armageddon and the beginning of the Messianic Millennium.

Before the 7 year tribulation is the rapture (sudden catching away of) the body of Christ to heaven, then all Christians will be with Jesus at his Second coming.

Isaiah 2:4 is THE time when world peace actually occurs. Until then wars and rumors of wars will continue somewhere in the world.

And someones future is heaven or hell according to the Bible. John 3:16-18, "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."

7. Hi,
Jesus said the meek will inherit the Earth, so it looks like heaven will be here on Earth. Just what the new heaven and Earth really means is still a mystery to men. Do you really think God will wipe the slate totally clean and start over? I own apartment buildings and I don't tear down the place when tenants do damage.... I just repair the damage. I don't think God is a fool, and I'm sure he's smarter than men give him credit for. Once he does what he's going to do, then we will understand what Isaiah and the other Prophets really meant
The one thing we do know as Christians is , Jesus will be King and he will rule and he will be fair and just, and there will be no war for the first time since the fall. Amen!

A single thought of future in the mind of one and the future will become now immediately;
A single thought of past in the mind of one and the past will become now immediately;

Past, Present and Future are all cognition of the mind of the sentient beings within the cycle.

9. Bravo for your question.
Over the years religions have been guilty of teaching false doctrines and philosophies to the people that they should be teaching the truth instead. They teach that there's a hell and that everyone regardless of how evil are going to heaven. But if we look closely at the bible it doesn't teach that. For example Re 14:1-5 it says that only A Hundred and forty four thousand have the prospect of going to heaven, it doesn't say we will all be there, Then when you look at Luke 23:42,43 that's were one of the guys who was hung up with Jesus asked him to remember him, even that guy knew that he wasn't going to enter into heaven, Jesus mentions a paradise. Why? Well then what are all the prophecies talking about? Look at Ecclesiastes 1:4 "A generation is going, and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite." try looking also at Isaiah 45:18 " For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else". So if he didn't create it simply for nothing what is the plan? Isa 65:21-25 gives us clues. But my favorite is at Psalm 37:9-11 there it says " For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."
We see now in the times that we are living that there's hatred among nations, greed, corruption like it states at Ecclesiastes 8:9 "All this I have seen, and there was an applying of my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, [during] the time that man has dominated man to his injury." So Isaiah 2:4 is part of a future promise, prophecy. To rid the world of these things.

10. It tells us that we will not going to heaven because we will be using steel or iron for something else; instead so that we will never use weapons again. EVER!!!!!
It does make sense because that we all will not going to heaven so .... we'll still be on earth ...
(John 5:28-29) Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
Remember, 144,000 will go, but rest of us are staying here.
