What is the Message?

Can someone please explain the May 21, 2011 judgment day prophecy to me?

I am a christian and I have read Gen 7, and I do not see how this is a prophecy for today. Saying that Judgment day is this may, it seems, would be jumping the gun, bypassing many other Biblical prophecies that have yet to take place. This is an interesting topic and i am interested in seeing what people think about it.

7. It was made by Harold Camping. There is no merit to it. If Jesus comes on that day, it is in spite of Camping's prediction.

8. Another day another prophecy, ho hum. People have been doing this prophecising thing for many hundreds of years now. It is all becoming rather tiresome.

9. The very same person [Harold Camping] falsely predicted the return of Jesus in 1996.
Although I'm not religious in any sense, he's what you'd call a false prophet.

10. Very soon...it has been revealed from the Bible, in these last times, that Judgment Day is May 21st, 2011, with world annihilation (God destroying the world with fire) on October 21st, 2011. In between those dates it will be utter horror for the unsaved left behind. Pray now for mercy and salvation while there is still time.Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
