How can something be considered a prophecy if the prophecy is recorded AFTER the events take place?

For the sake of this question, lets say two life times or so have passed before the prophecy is written about.

1. i don't understand what you are trying to prove, have some facts with you.

2. because people who believe in a fictional absentee father figure aren't the brightest in the world.

at least as far as this subject goes.

3. That's how you get fulfilled prophecies.

4. Your question intrigues me, which prophecy are you referring to?

5. That would be history, not prophecy, Prophecy in God's word was written in some case thousands of years before it came to pass, or still is yet to come to pass.

6. 'Cause people remember BETTER after a prophecy comes true, so they write it down. (No one remembers the prophecies that DON'T come true.)

7. No, that would be HISTORY.

That is what makes the bible so unique. There are NO instances of this in the bible. Archaeological evidence has proven the dates of the "books" in the bible, and ALL prophecy has been proven to have been written years before the event took place. For example, Prophecies about Jesus' birth and life were written by Isaiah -- 800 YEARS before Jesus was born.
