What points about the Mayan 2012 Prophecy are interesting?

I am doing an informative speech and the problem is that ther is so much information on the topic I am not sure which three points to focus on. Does anybody have any tips on the matter. What would you like to know about the prophecy?
Regardless if it is a prophecy or not I am still needing to do a speech on it.

1. it's not even a prophecy, it's just the end of their calendar. nothing special has been proven to occur on this particular day.

2. To begin with, the Mayans never made any prophecy, at least not about there being a doomsday in 2012. Your best bet is to choose 3 of the most nutty predictions (hint: all the predictions of doom are false) and then debunk them. Use the site below. There's plenty of information there.

4. Agreed, it's not a prophecy. I'm still hoping for the world to end soon though since it's become an embarrassment to say I'm part of the human race that's being ruled by greed and the crooked politicians. Maybe I should just get out of the U.S.A.
