Why isn’t Bible Prophecy considered logically, is it too deep for shallow minds?

Public Comments

1. No, it's too ridiculous for logical minds

2. It's too preposterous for rational minds.

3. Only those that do not understand it find it illogical. So, I would say that it is too deep for some.

4. Christians have been saying it is the end times from the beginning of there religion. How many times can you cry wolf?

5. I don't know why. I agree that it is too complex for regular people.
After all, every religion that follows the bible misunderstood nearly EVERYTHING in the bible. Atheists also don't understand it either.
The bible is far more complex then people think. It does not even assume that it's stories are literal, only fundie's are crazy enough to believe that. It's merely a moral code with some secret agendas. It shouldn't be taken too seriously and it should not be immediately dismissed.

By the way, I'm an Atheist, and I've studied the bible heavily.

6. Exactly!!!

Here is why I believe in the Bible.
I have studied some of the teachings of religions and different denomonations within the Bible. Prophecy is the one thing which leads me to accept the accuracy of the Bible as the written word of God.
First of all the Bible is not any mans interpretation. Men spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit..

The Bible has been written over thousands of years on 3 continents.. All of it coincides one from another.. The problem with interpretation occurs when context and language are not evaluated properly.
The prophecies described in the Bible are the proof.. They are NOT vague and general..
There have been prophecies which described Jesus ministry and when it would start(Dan 9:25, 26) , how long the ministry would last and when he would die(Dan 9:26, 27) . How he would die(Ps 22:16. Joh 19:18 20:25), who he would die with(Isa 53:12. Mr 15:28), what would happen with his clothing(Ps 22:18. Mt 27:35), which family he would come from(Ps 132:11 Jer 23:5. Matt 1:1-17 Ac 13:23 Ro 1:3).
Given this fact. The Book of Daniel was written around 550-535b.c.
THE BIBLE PREDICTED THE RISE AND FALL OF THE BABYLONIAN EMPIRE(Dan 7:4), to MEDO PERSIAN with its three provinces Egypt, Lydia, and Babylon. (Dan 7:5)(Dan 8:20), to GREECE(Dan8:21) with its four heads representing 4 generals.(Dan 7:6)(Dan 8:22), to Rome, and the Western Roman divided empire(Dan 7:7)..the Bible foretold the Medo Persian Empire Prophecies of Alexander the great(Dan 8:5) His four generals(Dan 8:8), how alexander would die. Prophecies of Rome uprooting 3 kingdoms(Dan 7:8; 8:9) during the expansion of the Roman Empire after the year 538 when Emperor Justinian symbolically gave the keys of the kingdom to the Arch Bishop of Rome, and he moved his kingdom to Constantinople... Please study History, and then read Daniel and the book of Revelation.... I wrote an article that I do not mind sharng with those who are sincerely searching for truth.

It is my understanding that if the Bible contains a prophecy, and we don't know world history, how could we know if the Bible is telling the truth or not?

7. Yes. That's why there's a whole different religion for shallow minds -- Atheism. Sheep and goats, Yah's plan.

8. Bible prophecy is not too deep or too shallow, the problem is that the scriptures are spiritualy discerned. Unless you have the light of the Holy Spirit to reveal them to you, you cannot understand them.
1Cr 2:14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.

1Cr 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

We stuggle not with flesh but with powers and principalities in heavenly places. Satan is a powerful being and does a fabulous job at blinding the masses.
2Cr 4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,

2Cr 4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
