What are the scientific facts for 12-21-12?

I keep hearing about this 2012 thing everywhere, and of course it makes me a little nervous. But I would like to know what are the actual scientific facts about that day? Is it all just doomsday prophecies and the calender ending or do scientists say as well that we are all doomed??

4. There are no scientific facts concerning what, if anything will happen on that date. We all just have to wait and see, don't worry about it, there are more important things in life to deal with.

No; there is, and never has been, any science to back up any prophecies or precognitions regarding anything at all. There is, however, a lot of psychological research that can tell us why people believe in such nonsense.

The biggest thing you have to worry about in 2012 is actually the people who do think the world is going to end. There was a case in the 19th century where a group of farmers in an agricultural community became convinced that the world was going to end. As a result, they didn’t bother to plant their crops, and many people died. That’s what you call a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What I will be celebrating is 1-1-2013 when this idiotic hype about 2012 will finally end.

7. The Mayan Calendar makes NO doomsday CLAIMS because 2012 is merely the end of a cycle. We are currently approaching the end of the 4th Mayan cycle. That means that Doomsday has happened THREE times before. For the ancient Maya it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle. To render December 21, 2012, as a doomsday or moment of cosmic shifting is a complete fabrication- and a chance for a lot of people to cash in.

People who promote 2012 are doing so to sell books and advertising on their doomsday shows. After each "predicted" doomsday passes with nothing happening there is a new one invented. I have watched the 2012 Doomsday program on the History (Hysteria) Channel. The content isn’t about any real 2012 event happening and it isn’t about history. It is about selling books and selling advertising on the TV programs.

There is no scientific theory that anything unusual is going to happen in 2012. ZERO scientists believe that anything out of the ordinary will happen in 2012. It is all total CRAP. These people are interested in one thing - MONEY. And by listening to their programs and/or buying their books you provide them with - MONEY. The more MONEY they make the more twists and turns they invent to make it more interesting so you will listen to new TV programs so they can make even MORE MONEY.

If you had hogwash to sell wouldn’t you try and package it so looked like prime rib? That is just what these shysters are doing… selling to those who will listen – HOGWASH. Drink deep!!! They need MORE MONEY. They need YOUR MONEY.

9. No scientists say we are all doomed. The only scientific fact you need to know is that all the predictions for doomsday on 12-21-12 are pure baloney, without a scrap of scientific backing. I'll just run through some of them:
There is no 'ancient prediction' by the Mayans or anyone else. These were all invented in the last 20 years.
There is no 'mystery planet' about to pass by. Why don't the fraudsters tell us its current coordinates? You decide.
There will be no alignment, either planetary or galactic. When was the last alignment that caused us any problems anyway?
There will be no pole shift. A magnetic pole shift is not imminent and probably tens of thousands of years away. A sudden rotational pole shift is a physical impossibility.
The next solar maximum is expected in mid 2013, not 2012 and is expected to be less intense than the last maximum in 2001.
Other predictions such as the photon belt and Terence McKenna's Timewave Zero are just too silly to bother with.

The mayans already have 26 accurate predictions proven to be true.
so what makes us think that the 27th prediction wont be true?

This is about the Planet niburu
in which is said to come to the orbit of the Earth in 2012 or 2036 or if not 2085. It is said it will collide, but IDK.
The Anunaki, which in the Bible, are the Devils, lives there.
and they need Gold in order to survive, so long ago, they harvested all the gold here on earth. so do not wonder why Gold is very costly since it is rare.

in 2036 an unknown asteroid collides with the earth. (same with the Satanist book) it is called an asteroid since asteroids can be on any shapes but since the orbit of Niburu is unknown it IS an asteroid, coz asteroids doesnt have an orbit.
