What is the Message?

2012?????????

i was watching this show about the "prophecy" they said the world is going to end 12/21/2012.. who thinks that this is true and will happen? if this does happen i will at least be able to say that i graduated.. and i had a year of college =) i graduate in 2011.. so tell me what you think about this? please? most descriptive in my eyes is the 10point winner.

7. I remember when the world was going to end on august 8 1988. I think i survived it though.

8. This is based on the fact that the ancient Aztec calender stops abruptly on that date.

11. i was watching this show on the discovery channel or science channel one of them. it was about how the world started (i believe God did it but whatever they can think their stuff) and it showed the relations between the beginning and the end. about how jupiters gravitational pull will eventually make the asteroid belt hit earth again, in 2036. they said NASA has something that they say can stop the giant asteroids and by 2036 it should be perfected. so who knows.

12. No. No one will know when the world will end, and that's how it should be. God says it's when we least expect it. That's what I believe.

13. I saw that show, too. I don't think anything will happen. Remember, many people were saying the world would end in the year 2000. It is strange how that Mayan calendar ended on that date. I found it very interesting and would like to learn more about the different prophecies. However, I don't think the world will end. Just my opinion!

19. Yeah, I heard that the Mayan year charts or something ended in december 2012, and that's why they think the world will end. How the heck would the mayan"s know though??

21. I believe there is a significant chance that we may experience a pole shift, at the end of 2011 or the beginning of 2012. Our sun is due for its 11 year cyclical pole shift, at that time. Due to the influence of a planetary alignment, also scheduled, at that time, our Earth may shift its poles too. NASA has already confirmed that the Earth's north magnetic pole has started to migrate to the South Atlantic. It has also detected a diminishing magnetic field that accompanies a pole shift.

Personally, I'm just going to try to prepare, as best I can, for any disasters that may happen, but most of all, I plan to enjoy the ride wherever it may take us. This experience may prove to be a very "enlightening" one.

According to some Mayans, this date marks the end of the long count of their calendar; Set to end on a winter solstice (12-21-12). On this date, our Solar system will be center aligned , in the Milky Way's equator. Our sun will be centered in a position called "The Tree of Life", as it does every 25,800 years. In this position, unusually violent sun spot activity may cause a pole shift. Earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods will run ramped. Significant loss of life will occur. Earths magnetic field will temporarily collapse. Humans will be exposed to a cosmic energy that will facilitate enlightenment. Geologist Gregg Branden gave a lecture back in 1996. He spoke of how ancient traditions and beliefs, of the coming new age, can be explained in the language of modern science. Granted, it may not be "proof positive", but he does show there may definitely be something to the Mayan predictions about a catastrophe (pole shift) as well as life ending as we know it. The lecture is kind of long (4 hours), but I found it very interesting.

22. The year 2012 marks the end/beginning of a celestial age in the MAYAN calender. The word Apocalypse dose not translate to Armageddon or the end of the world. It simply means a transition to a new way of living. There are many many ideas about what kind of change that will be. All to be taken with a grain of salt. Although a cataclysmic event would expedite the process, I would be more concerned with what the "Power Elite" people plan for our planet.
