Isn't the bible code that describes the tribulation and rapture on 12/21/2012 confirmation of the Mayans'?
prophecy of the end of the world? Why do atheists ignore these facts?

1. in your world i'm sure it is. but then again.. it's you we're talking about here.
2. Ok, so now both the Mayans and the Bible say so - ignoring the fact that the Mayans DIDN'T say so, you obviously have a point.
3. thankfully no, it's not real, it's made up...enjoy your family
4. Yes, they and the bible apparently know more than all the scientists put together.
5. Ok, you can laugh in my face in the wake of the apocalypse
till then just don't ask stupid questions
6. It should be.
7. its not a fact. Sure, the bible codes have predicted things before, but you could find many instances where something has not happened. This is the case, more often then not. In fact, critics of the bible code found predictions in a regular chapter book.
8. People who discover 'prophecies' from Bible code, pull out exaclty what they want to. There is no consistent sequence or method when it comes to Bible decoding. Show me a Bible code that was discovered before any other claims were made and not after.
9. no one knows the day or the hour but the father knows when the earth is going to end!
10. Sure and we should sacrifice turkeys just like the Mayans too.
11. The Bible code is a joke...
You can do the same thing with any large book, the larger the better... and the Mayan calendar says nothing about the end of the world...
Sheesh...
12. for the 279469409385th time, the mayans didnt predict that the world would end in 2012. they predicted the end of a cycle and the begining of a new one.
13. Because the Mayan calender says no such thing. Christians are like a pack of dogs that go around territory marking, ie pissing all over other cultures beliefs to claim it as their own. ;)
Practicing Shaman.... quantum physics rocks
14. Why do you want your child to die in an hallucination some ancient, superstitious scribe had 1900 years ago? The belief in the sick and twisted fantasy of global genocide is the worst dead weight humanity still drags along. Why don't you work for the best of times for your child and stop waiting for the end of times.
15. what makes you think they do
16. Why don't you present these 'facts'...like the bible code for instance. Could it be *gasp* that you're lying? Wouldn't Jesus be proud.
17. The Bible says some other things as well.
Jesus speaks of the end times in the book of Matthew. Matthew 24: 35-36 states, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angles of heaven, but my Father only." In verse 44, Jesus states, "For in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh."
The Bible does not have any code that states tribulation and rapture is coming on 12/21/2012. Rather, it clearly states we do not know when the end times are coming. In fact, the statement that Jesus made in verse 44, that he will come in an hour that we think he won't, pretty much rules out the date you are providing because some people believe he will.
Atheists ignore these so called facts, like knowledgeable Christians, because this code is not a fact or confirmation of the Mayans. It is some fancy mumbo jumbo somebody cooked up.
18. Oh come on now Mommy, I thought you knew your scriptures BETTER THAN THAT!!! no one knows the time world will end so I ignore the 2012!!!! only God knows and he anit telling least, of all pagan mayans!!!!
19. By "Bible code," do you mean that thing where people put the letters of the Hebrew Bible in a grid, and then play Word Find going up, down, forward, backward, and diagonally?
That's a silly idea.
1. Who decides how many letters to put on each row? Change the number of letters on each row, and you change what Word Find results you will get. Pick the Word Find results you want to see, choose the grid size that gets you there, and ignore the rest of all possible grid sizes? No: This is deciding on the result you want, before you decide on the ground rules that may or may not get you there.
2. Which edition of the Hebrew text do you use? There is more than one, and the differences between them can be small. Add just one letter, or replace a word with another word that's just one letter longer, and the entire "Bible code" grid will be thrown off. How do you choose which reading, which edition of the text, is the correct one--by examining which Hebrew word fits the context of the sentence better, or by which Hebrew word makes for the more juicy "Bible code" results? You know which is the proper decision.
3. Biblical Hebrew doesn't include most vowels--only a handful of them. In the Middle Ages, a group of Rabbis started indicating the proper vowels with dots and dashes above, below, and inside the Hebrew letters for consonants, but those are considered merely commentary: Change the vowels, and the same consonants can create a totally different meaning. So which set of vowels do you use for the "Bible code"--(1) the vowels that were attached to each letter by the rabbis, or (2) the vowels that are attached to each letter by modern interpreters, or (3) any old vowels that anyone wants to add today, just so they can get the "Bible code" to mean anything they darn well please?
Thanks, but no thanks: The "Bible code" is self-indulgent fluff.
20. No... ," No man shall know the day nor the hour nor the minute..." so again I say... No. And everyone with a brain ignores your "Facts" because they aren't fact. They are even less than conjecture. They are fallacies.
