What is the Message?

How many problems will this 2012 doomsday prophecy cause?

I remember reading about a similar prediction that happened in the 1800s'. People killed themselves and their family members, because they believed the dead would go to heaven first. Other people sold all their earthly possessions. It was basic chaos. Do you think some people will show the same behaviour this time?

4. I have a feeling some people will try to turn it into a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's really sad how far people take fear and superstition :-(

there have been countless fake doomsday dates: a few in the 1980s, a few in the 1990s, and of course 2000, which so many have already forgotten.

there have been thousands of them over the past 17 centuries.

all fail.

10. out of curiosity i check out about the whole 2012 thing and i can proudly say that there will be no doom day, that day.

a small brief of the info in these internet page:
for the mayan prophecies and their calendar it is just the end of the 5th circle which it is part of a bigger circle of almost 26000years.
Basically we will close one galactic day that day, according to the Mayan and that it will not bring disaster but universal consciousness and all humans will be enlighted.
Time as we know will stop exist and there will be no future or past but only present.
There is only one part saying that there might be natural disasters so people will face death because of these disasters, but we already have ones, so......

I think that some people will freak out and maybe we will have groups that will do freaky things but all and all, there is nothing bad about that date even if someone believes in these things or not.

So we should cool down a little bit.
Even if someones believes in religions or something superior or not most of the major religions agree on one thing.
Humans will reach perfection one day and we will be united.
For the Mayans these days are coming very fast in our life time.
