christians did you know that jesus fulfilled one prophecy without a shadow of a doubt?

there is no evidence that he ever existed before he was meant to have lived and no evidence after he lived.

so he fulfilled the prophecy of not existing very well.

don't you agree?

Public Comments

1. pfeh, amateur. Gandalf has fulfilled way more prophecies than that.

2. lost?

3. This is not a prophecy, but mere logic.
Or lack of.

No evidence that he lived after he lived? What planet are you on?
There is evidence that he lived, ask ANY historian. Christian or other.

4. I'm struggling here... Is that very, very deep? Or very, very shallow!?

5. Dogstar is right!

6. We have non Christian evidence that the man Jesus was here.
Most well read atheists KNOW this for a fact-they just believe he was a man and that's it.

We have evidence from Tacitus, Josephus, Pliny the Younger to just name of few

Maybe you should find out for sure beyond a shadow of a doubt weather or not you are persecuting the living God.

What if you are wrong? What will the be consequences?

7. "there is no evidence he ever existed" - that's a very - historically speaking - bold statement to make. All but a rare few historians acknowledge Jesus' existence.

8. Uhm, no I don't agree. If you actually did some research you will find evidence that Jesus did exist. And I'm not talking about the Bible.

9. Is this supposed to be a spin-off from Change's question?? Grow up, hun.

10. Christians cannot refute the fact that if Jesus actually existed why didn't every Historian around the time he walked the earth constantly speak of Jesus Christ? There are almost no historian who spoke of Jesus. Those who spoke of a messiah type figure clearly spoke of a "MAN" and not God incarnated. So it clearly was not "Jesus" because Christians don't believe Jesus was only "MAN".

11. Where is there a prophecy that he wasn't supposed to exist? And how do you logic that there is no evidence. There are countless numbers of historical evidence that he was a real human person, walking and talking.

12. And you know what other prophecy He will fulfill........? Throwing you in the lake of fire for rejecting Him and trying to make others reject Him as well.
Obviously you are just blind and can't even bother to do research on your own. Here is some non-Christian/non-Biblical literature written during Jesus time that can prove you and everyone else wrong. You might wanna consider repenting by the way.

13. Yeah well whatever. So does it say he'll exist sort of?

Well what about the prophecy that says he'll rise into the sky and become a god?
.

14. You mean the historians who wrote about Jesus, was all false? Why would they do so?

15. yes I agree

16. Jesus told some of his followers that the Temple and Jerusalem would be destroyed in the life time of some them. This event happen in 70AD, and the prophecy was written down and well circulated before 70AD.

17. Yep... we split history down the middle because of a `myth`
- no evidence
- no historic text
- nothing

Somewhere someone thought it would be a good idea to make it up and control the illiterate masses right?

Hmmm, I also think those pyramids were just put there for the tourists too, so as to bolster the waning Egyptian economy.

18. Jesus prophecy is being fulfilled.

Miracles after miracles are heppening everyday.

It depends what you are reading or where you are researching your information.

This world just forgotten how to love the way Jesus taught us. He came to teach us to love and prepare us for the last days.

If you go to Lourdes in France you will see miracles happening today. Spiritually you will be moved. I have seen people walk out of the wheeler chairs after going into the Lourdes water. Blind seeing and more.

In 1964 Fr Rich Thomas was appointed to El Paso in Texas. Around 1969/1970 he was profoundly touched by God and started charismatic prayer meetings in the parish. Sr Maria Virginia, DC, was also an inspired leader. During one prayer meeting in 1972 they read the passage in Luke 14:12-14 which says, “When you give a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relations or rich neighbors, in case they invite you back and so repay you. Now when you have a party, invite the poor… for they have no means to repay you and so you will be repaid when the upright rise again.” The prayer meeting decided that on Christmas day that year, 1972, they would give a Christmas lunch to the poor who lived and worked in the dump in Juarez, which is just across the border in Mexico. The poor people in the dump used to separate the rubbish into various types, cans, bottles, cardboard etc and then sell it to a co-op which would in turn sell it on. They lived in the dump and worked 7 days a week for $5. The prayer group had prepared food for 125 people on Christmas Day. When they got to the dump Fr Rich and the group discovered that they had two labor unions or trade unions as we say here in Ireland. One union could not go into the other’s area. Eventually Fr Rich got them to come to one area for the food. Three hundred and fifty people turned up so Fr Rich explained that there was not enough food for everyone but they would share what they had. All 350 had enough food, the dump people took some food home and then came back to take more home, they returned and took more home again. There was still lots of food left over, so much that Fr Rich and the prayer group took the leftover food to three orphanages. The miracle of the loaves and fish that we heard in our Gospel was repeated in the dump in Juarez, Mexico in 1972.

Every moment there is a miracle happening through Jesus.

I hope this answers your question.

19. You're so wrong, Wingy, there were at least 19 Jesuses.

There's a bit of a problem because although there were 19 Jesuses, there were only ever 18 Jesus foreskins on display across Europe, so either one of the Jesuses was not circumcized or there's a hidden foreskin somewhere.

The following is from:
http://christiananswers.net/q-aiia/jesuslegend.html

"This answer based, in part, on an actual exchange with a skeptic.

I asked, who is Jesus of Nazareth to you? Are you suggesting that He was deliberately lying as regards His claims to be God (i.e. John 5:18)? Or are you saying that He was self-deluded, a wacko, who had somehow only come to think of Himself as God?

Skeptic: Neither. I think that the Jesus we see portrayed today is probably the composite of more than one person. I think the story of his life was no doubt embellished to some degree, just the same as may be true for King Arthur or Robin Hood.

Response: So you're not suggesting that Jesus was a liar. And you're not saying that He was a lunatic. You're really of the opinion that He is, as we know Him today, just a legend?

Skeptic: Essentially, yes. I tend to believe that the supernatural aspects of Jesus' life are fictional. That's the scenario that seems most plausible to me.

Response: Well, I would say that a number of problems come to mind with regard to the idea that Jesus as we know Him today is just a legend.

Let me set them out as follows:

1.None of the most reputable first century historians (Josephus, Tacitus, et al) or other first century contemporaries of Christ (Biblical or extra-Biblical, e.g. the physician Luke, Roman officials, members of Jesus' own family) of whom we are aware—excepting the Jewish religious leadership, who clearly had an agenda of their own—ever apparently disputed the New Testament accounts of Jesus' supernatural claims and feats, although such accounts were all being quite widely circulated during their lifetimes.

No one—not even one—ever spoke up and said, “Hey, wait a minute. This is crazy. Jesus never actually walked on water. He never claimed to be God. He never did these miracles. He never came back from the grave.” Such an outcry could have occurred. But it never did.

The argument from silence is often a rather dubious way to proceed. But in this case, the lack of any such uproar against the “falsity” of the Gospel accounts actually becomes a rather convincing piece of evidence.

There is solid evidence that Jesus really did claim to be unique among men in His relationship with God the Father, i.e. Divine in essence. Consider even the Christological titles. For instance, Jesus' favorite self-title was probably “the Son of Man” (note the definite article, e.g. Luke 18:31). Commonly thought to be a reference to His humanity, in light of Daniel 7:13-14 this term is no doubt more accurately regarded as a reference to His Deity.

Even such radical 'scholars' as those on the Jesus Seminar seem inclined not to dispute Jesus' use of this term to describe Himself.

Even critical scholars concede the historicity of Jesus' healings and exorcisms, while denying the fact that any of them constituted real true-to-life miracles. Such denials, though, seem clearly based on presuppositions and worldviews.

See evidence for Christ's resurrectionThe overwhelming and heretofore unanswered evidence for Jesus' own physical resurrection provides additional ground for concluding that this figure was truly a worker (and subject) of miracles.
2.Legends typically require a significant period of time to develop and gain credibility. In this case, within just twenty years of Jesus' death, Christian doctrine, conviction, churches, creeds, martyrs, and sermons—every one unequivocally confessing Jesus as Lord—can all be handily documented.

3.Would Jesus' disciples have been willing martyrs for a story they knew was pure fantasy and legend? Some men may be willing to die for what they believe to be true, though it isn't. But who is, or has, ever been willing to die for the sake of a cause which they clearly know to be a lie? Remember, the disciples were eye witnesses to what actually had happened.
4.Can one realistically attribute to mere legend the historic, worldwide, ongoing impact of the life of this one individual—all of which includes the faith-profession of many of the world's most respected, wise, thinking men and women?"

So the question is, Do you wish to perpetuate your ignorance, OR do some real research? I suspect the former, as you're so determined to live life as you see fot, you cannot be bothered to consider the consequences.

May God bless all who truly seek the truth about Him.

22. yes. but it actually was Jehovah God who had timed it correctly.

23. next youre going to say dumbldorf isnt a real wizzard
and hogwarts isnt a real boarding school
