Why was'nt the election of the first black president a prophecy in the bible?

You'd think that a major event like that would have been predicted as a prophecy.
I'm sorry i'm not trying to be racst.I;m trying to make the prophecies seem false.I;m scared to death of the end of the world.Sorry again.

Public Comments

1. It shouldn't be that way. Race should never mean anything in society.

2. That's a fairly America-centric idea.

3. because it is immaterial to God

It was only big in the united states because of all the racism towards blacks.

4. what the???

5. Maybe because it's not a big deal. But I think I've read/heard that fundies are either seeing him as the anti-Christ or I've also heard him joked as being the Messiah returned. Either way, he doesn't impress me. Besides, he's half black. I guess I would be more interested in it if President Obama's ancestors came from Africa shackled in a slave ship, and not on some cushy ocean liner or American Air or whatever cushy modern form of transportation Mr. Obama senior took.

6. God doesn't put importance on race,as you do.What is important to men,is not important to God.

7. Well a book written in the Middle East and Europe probably won't prophesie a leader in a land undiscovered at the time.

8. 1) Why was'nt the election of the first black president a prophecy in the bible?

Because the concept of race based on differences in physical appearance (such as skin color) is a relatively recent concept. It is also one, I might add, that has been proven erroneous. It would (rightly) have no special significance to the ancient authors of the bible.

2) You'd think that a major event like that would have been predicted as a prophecy.

It's not a major event. Only racism makes it seem so.
