Are there any books about Christian prophecy that are NOT written by crackpots or doomsday fear mongers?

Are there any books about biblical prophecy that are written from a more liberal, open minded perspective?

Other than for the money, I can't imagine why people keep writing books which predict the world to end soon. There were major books saying the world would end in 2008, 2009, and there are others for the years 2010 through 2012. 2012, of course, is the big one.

Any suggestions?

1. Check out anything from Ravi Zacharias then!

2. Look for textbooks on eschatology. They tend to detail the origins of the various doctrines. The authors you mentioned are mostly money motivated crackpots.

3. There is only one place that I know of to find the scriptural truth for what you seek:

4. No...that's a requirement.

"2012 is the big one" - - - LMAO

6. Yeah the bible would be your best bet. Don't listen to all those people out there that teach this or predict that. Only scripture will give you sure word of prophecy.

2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

We are to test all things from Church's right down to people who write books about their own interpretation. No scripture is of any private interpretation.

2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
